The Department of Economics and Finance invites applications for a visiting position in economics beginning in August 2013. The position is expected to become full time, tenure track, recruiting to begin August 2013. Teaching responsibilities for the visiting position will include principles of economics, intermediate macroeconomics, and perhaps business and economic statistics and/or other economics courses more in line with the candidate’s background and interests. The teaching load will be four courses/two preps per semester, with the possibility of additionally compensated summer teaching. Candidates must have completed or be close to completing a Ph.D. in economics. Preference will be given to candidates with a field in macroeconomics. The department is housed in the Boler School of Business, which is AACSB accredited, and which maintains a strong commitment to quality instruction.
