Working Title: FSSI - Eagle Express Market

Job Summary/Essential Functions: This is a 9-month position in the Dining Services department. This position supervises food service market employees in the stocking, preparation, display, service, cash sales and maintenance activities and participates in all market place activities.

Conditions of Employment: This position requires frequent standing, talking, use of hands/arms, grasping, eye/hand coordination and fine manipulation. This position requires occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. This position requires analytical thinking, remembering details and making decisions. In order to perform the duties of this job, incumbent will operate food service equipment, computers, cash registers and a delivery vehicle. This position requires a valid food handler's permit and a driver's license.

This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 18. Successfull applicant will be required to pass a background check.This is an agency shop position.

Work Schedule: This is a regular schedule with a 9 month cyclic appointment. Typical work week will consist of, five days a week, eight hours per day with two consecutive days off. Sample schedule would be 9 am to 6 pm with a one hour lunch period Tuesday to Saturday. Weekend may be a part of the work week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Specific Position Requirements:--Bachelor's Degree with major course work in restaurant or hotel management, or closely related field;

OR

Associate Degree in food service management or related with one year of relevant work experience in a retail store, convenience store, grocery or retail deli service, including one year as a lead, supervisor or equivalent.

OR

High School Diploma or GED certificate, with three years of relevant work experience in a retail store, convenience store, grocery or retail deli service, including one year as a lead, supervisor or equivalent.

--Valid food handler's permit

--Valid driver's liense.

--Additionally, candidates must offer a demonstrated high degree of interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency or diversity.

Preferred Qualifications:

--Prior experience supervising a grocery or convenience store operation.
