Job Description:
*This position is eligible for hybrid and remote work arrangements.

The Associate Director Enterprise Application Services(EAS) - HR, Payroll, Business & Finance, and OnBase reports to the Director of Information Technology & Services. This person is responsible for the overall deployment and user experience with these enterprise systems. This includes PeopleSoft Human Capital Management, Financials/Supply Chain, OnBase, and numerous integrated systems. This position works closely with the functional leads in business units to understand their objectives, and to optimize the use of delivered features and integrations of on-premise and cloud-based applications.

The Associate Director supervises IT analyst/developers in the support of the applications, including fit-gap analysis, design and development of solutions as well as troubleshooting and problem solving. Centralization of IT analysis and decision-making ensures consistent and effective practice of security, accessibility, and usability standards.

As a member of the leadership team in Enterprise Application Services, they contribute to project planning for product updates, upgrades, integrations, and customizations. This includes project analysis and management.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish relationships with key business units and serve as an advocate for enterprise application utilization, support, and training.
  • Analyze business unit needs to ensure enterprise applications are performing to expectations.
  • Monitor business units utilization of enterprise applications with ability to map processes, analyze requirements, gaps, issues, risks, and potential workflow enhancements.
  • Lead and influence decisions regarding the use of custom modifications, where appropriate.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships to understand product road maps.
  • Ensure delivery of accessible applications.
  • Recruit, hire, define performance expectations and provide feedback that encourages creativity, professional growth, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Manage day-to-day work of IT analysts/developers/administrators, including resolution of emergent issues, management of change requests, and projects to provide technical design and development of solutions.
  • Recognize and reward good performance. Take corrective actions promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure that application inventories and documentation are maintained, such as business process guides and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop, track, and analyze key performance metrics to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided by the team.
  • Develop teams professional skills in the IT and leadership fields through trade magazines, manuals, seminars, and courses.
  • Participate with EAS leadership to define and manage project work.
  • Contribute to strategic direction by participating with ITS leadership forums.
  • Participate in institutional user groups (e.g. Educause, Higher Education User group (HEUG), or Higher Education OnBase Group) to stay apprised of features/trends/issues.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
