- Oversees the specialty programs in collaboration with Program Directors, ensuring that all programs are cup-to-date and effectively managed. Review course materials, syllabi, and schedules, and sending announcements and updates to faculty and students. Oversee clinical activities within the Pre-doctoral Patient Treatment Center, coordination and opening of specialty chairs to support program needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for faculty, students, and other stakeholders. Address and resolve questions and concerns promptly, and facilitate effective communication among all parties involved. Oversee pre-doctoral student progress and provide academic advising to ensure students meet their clinical competencies. Oversee the student sign-out process within the department, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocol.
- Manage and train 3 Administrative Coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure their effective performance and professional development. Will conduct annual staff performance evaluations. Provide regular feedback to the Department Chair and Assistant Director of Administration regarding the performance and progress of Administrative Coordinators.
- Collaborate with the Chair to draft and manage correspondence related to CODA (Council on Dental Accreditation) preparations and educational enrichment initiatives. Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings with directors, ensuring all necessary documentation and agendas are prepared and distributed.
- Provide backup support in the absence of the Assistant Director. This includes managing daily operations, addressing urgent issues, and ensuring continuity of departmental activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for any issues or decisions that require immediate attention and ensure that all responsibilities are handled efficiently. Able to offer support and clarification to faculty, staff, and students regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree Required and 3-5 years of experience.
